AirCorps Aviation and Paul Ehlen, the current owner of Sierra Sue II, would like to invite you to a gathering at Vintage Aviation’s facility in Sonoma, California.

The gathering will officially begin around 1 pm and continue through the dinner hour. There will be a catered dinner. Also, John Christgau has kindly offered to bring a case of wine. There should be lots of interesting things to look at and do if you want to come early. We will be on site by 10 am.

We are looking forward to meeting and interviewing family members of Robert Bohna and others who have connections and experiences related to Lt. Bohna and Sierra Sue II. If you have photos or other memorabilia, please bring them. We will have a computer and scanner to scan any that you will allow us to use.

We will have introductions, an update on the restoration of Sierra Sue II, interviews, and a book signing. Many of our photos will be on computer slide show display. John Christgau, the brother of Sierra Sue’s last owner, Dr. Roger Christgau, wrote “Sierra Sue II, the Story of a Mustang” and will attend and sign his books for those who would like one. There will also be time to visit, meet one another and talk about Lt. Bohna and Sierra Sue’s World War Two experiences. There may be a few surprises as well.

We are looking forward to meeting and interviewing family members of Robert Bohna and others who have connections and experiences related to Lt. Bohna and Sierra Sue II. If you know of someone who we may have missed who has a connection to Lt. Robert Bohna or Sierra Sue II please let us know.
