Responsibilities:
The job entails being a Production Design Artist at AirCorps Aviation. The role involves creating artwork for AirCorps Aviation as well as historical and modern aircraft using various digital and production mediums. Responsibilities include generating and collaborating on designs, managing projects from start to finish, communicating effectively with clients and team members, ensuring brand consistency, and possessing strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite. The candidate should have a background in art or graphic design, experience in a creative environment, and proficiency in Windows and Adobe software. The ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines is essential.
Essential Job Functions:
- This position is required to support the mission of AirCorps Aviation: Supporting continued airworthiness of historic, legacy and modern aircraft through award winning restoration, maintenance, project management, parts fabrication and sales.
- Ability to create high quality digital graphic designs.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead a project from conception, production, and delivery.
- Ability to create standardized prepress files, proofs, and communicate clearly to customers and vendors of deliverables.
- Ability to produce both small and large format graphics with a variety of methods and mediums on both small and large quantities.
- Confer with supervisor and clients in developing proofing materials for projects and products.
- Demonstrate a background producing various physical print media types including: decals, paint masks, stencils, placards, posters, informational displays and digital products.
- Manage brand consistency
- Working knowledge of composition, components and concepts of legacy artwork production methods, mostly from the 1940’-1950’s era.
- Ability to generate new and original ideas within the parameters of stated objectives
- Excellent internal/external customer relations.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and proofing.
- Ability to make subjective decisions regarding subject matter and projects.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, pre-press and physical print production.
- All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Take and follow directions.
- Ability to stand and sit, for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work independently and troubleshoot software and print hardware issues and maintenance. (Training Provided.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Required – Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and manage deadlines. Ability to work well with all levels of staff and the general public Must have a working knowledge of Windows operating systems, and Adobe Creative Suite and willingness to learn SignLab and other software platforms.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience working in a creative atmosphere desired.
- Experience working with digital printing and vinyl cutting machines is preferred, but not required
- Aviation Industry experience is not required, but a passion for aviation is preferred.
- Must be able to produce a recent digital art portfolio.
Education:
- Background or pursuing degree in art, graphic design, or related field
