The world’s largest inventory of Stearman parts, will be moved to Bemidji, MN by AirCorps Depot, starting May 30th. We anticipate completing the packing and to have trucks loaded by June 9th.
The last day to place an order prior to the packaging of parts will be May 29th.
Kay, Laci, and Tim have done a fabulous job taking orders and assisting customers in this interim period. We genuinely appreciate their efforts. They truly value the maintainers, operators, and owners whom they have gotten to know, became friends with and served loyally. The Lycoming, Jacobs and Wright engine inventory has been acquired by Radial Engines Ltd. located in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The inventory of engine cores has been well preserved and the sizeable inventory of service parts, most in original manufacturer packaging, is in pristine condition.
Radial Engines Ltd, is in its fourth decade of maintaining engines and aircraft from the Golden Age of Aviation. Well over a thousand engines have been overhauled and many rare vintage aircraft are nearing 100 years of age, still reliably powered by Radial Engines Ltd. engines. As Radial Engines Ltd. approaches its half century mark the goals remain the same as they did in the beginning: building the most reliable engine possible under the banner of the REL motto, “a history of relentless innovation”.
*AirCorps Depot has not sold the Pratt & Whitney engine inventory, but will pursue options.
We have always pushed ourselves and the AirCorps team to put more into the warbird industry than we take. Contributing to our industry at times means letting go of parts or resources that are in better hands with others. We need a healthy industry of shops working together to see these remarkable aircraft continue to operate safely and inspire future generations. The Radial Engines team, Caleb, Steve and the Curry family are the right place for these engine parts. We look forward to seeing, supporting, and celebrating what they do with them.
From our first day in business we have depended upon Dusters and Sprayers to supply us with quality parts for our engine overhauls. Having this stockpile in our warehouse will allow us to continue, into the foreseeable future, maintaining these wonderful old engines.
