Enjoyed John’s book, “a lot”. There are tributes to a number of key people and one additional plane in the life of this incredible airplane: Bohna, Cochrane, Getchel, Sanders, Roger/Doc, Martin, Soderquist, Allender, Kindelberger, Atwood, Self, Meredith, P-40, and so many more that cannot be mentioned here. It is sort of similar to the notion that it takes a village full of people to properly raise a child. It took hundreds of people to raise and bring to maturity Mustang 122-31401, not luck! And she is still going.

    Hello,
Not to correct my sister. Jack Cochrane our Uncle now passed. Did the prior restoration on the Sierra Sue.what a magnifecent warbird.
At the current time I am in the midst of a light duty wrecker project. It is a vintage gmc sierra 3500,Sue Linkel my girlfriend is the owner of “Bills towing” it caught me as I am doing the project for her. So my project theme is “the Sierra Sue III”.
Our Uncle Jack was a great influence in my life.
And to me this is a tribute to him as well.

Hi, my uncle was Jack Cochrane. He worked on the Sierra Sue II in the past. I look forward to pictures you may be posting of her 🙂
