SUMMARY:

The Technical Support Specialist helps facilitate the day-to-day operations of the AirCorps Library department. Responsibilities include answering phone calls and emails in a customer service capacity, completing small to medium sized digitization projects, performing simple website maintenance tasks, and assisting with marketing efforts such as blog posts and email blasts. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience or a vested interest in the technical and engineering side of aviation, and is comfortable/proficient with computer work, with the ability to quickly learn new software programs. Applicants should be proactive, organized, flexible, and enjoy customer service. This position is located in Helena, MT, and does require occasional travel. Full-time position. 

Reports To: AirCorps Library Lead

Responsibilities and Authorities:

  • Answering general questions and inquiries related to the AirCorps Library website with an upbeat and helpful attitude.
  • Assisting the AirCorps Library Lead in creating and distributing marketing materials such as blog posts, articles, email blasts, and social media campaigns.
  • Performing ongoing website maintenance tasks to the AirCorps Library site.
  • Performing occasional digitizing of aircraft manuals, documents, engineering drawings, and microfilm using a variety of scanning equipment and software.
  • Reviewing and editing digitized files for image quality, and understands file naming conventions.
  • Flexibility for short-term travel, which may be required to complete off-site digitizing projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Interest and understanding of aircraft structures and maintenance is preferred, but willing to train the right employee.
  • Excellent computer skills, and learns new software programs quickly.
  • Must be able to follow detailed multi-step instructions, with high attention to detail.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 40 pounds at a time, and work in confined areas with dirty and dusty materials.
  • Job knowledge through suitable education or prior work experience.
  • Typing speed: 50-70 words per minute.
  • Must have flexibility to travel for projects that may require out of state work.

Requirements:

  • This is an in-person position located in Helena, MT
  • Valid drivers license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation

Compensation:

  • $20-26 per hour
